Description: Job Responsibilities: •Oversee the master planning, scheduling and procurement for the organization •Plan and execute departmental and organization goals including cost savings, inventory reduction, etc. •Work closely and understand the impact of purchasing/planning decisions has on accounting, manufacturing, engineering and organizational goals •Strive to lower costs from suppliers without jeopardizing quality of products or schedules •Build a cohesive and effective team and combine the buyers and planners into buyers/planners •Supervise, train and mentor buyer planners •Attend and carry out tasks from design reviews, management status meetings, and department meetings Job Requirements: •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience •APICS, CPM or APP certification is preferred •A minimum of 10 years experience purchasing and planning electromechanical, electronic, printed circuit assembly or machined assemblies •At least 5 years in a procurement/materials management capacity •Proven ability to set up Kanban and minimum/maximum levels and implement lean throughout a purchasing/materials group •Ability to read and comprehend drawings and Bill of Materials •Strong production planning, logistical analysis and negotiation skills •Possesses in-depth knowledge of ERP/MRP & MS Office systems •Must be detailed oriented, self-disciplined, motivated, problem solver and decision maker •Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. •US person (US citizen or green card holder) If interested, please apply at http://www.careerbuilder.com/JobPoster/Jobs/MyJobs/ViewJob.aspx?Job_DID=J8C26876SYT7JSC96C9 Teledyne RD Instruments is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V.
